Miranda
Wilton-Russell,
BORN IN 1973,

is a contemporary Australian abstract expressionist artist represented by Studio Gallery Group across Australia, with its galleries in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. A lifetime of and passion for living in the Australian bush has influenced her works, which are intensely personal, blending emotion and landscape through gesture, a style that comes naturally to Miranda and is an extension of her private yet expressive personality. For Miranda, gesture readily connects to landscape, both visually and spiritually.

Growing up on the banks of the Murray River in NSW and later living a significant time in Grampians country, Victoria, has helped shape her expressions, redolent of flowing rivers, scrub, mountains, and towering trees, her works are characterised by boldness and energy.

Often spontaneous and always intuitive, Miranda creates across mediums from largescale to small, on canvas, paper, and wood, favouring oil and acrylic paints.

Creating professionally since 2016, in both colourfield and gestural styles, Miranda has exhibited across various galleries and art fairs for solo and group exhibitions. Her works are held in collections across Australia and overseas and are also favoured by stylists for use in campaigns. Such as Steve Cordony for Range Rover at Range Rover House, Thredbo, NSW in 2025. Artwork - ‘Bush Home and Other Roads’, 2023. Acrylic on Italian canvas. 178 x 153cm.
